I just made this today, and am a little proud of myself! Sewing is not my speciality, but I did it without a pattern, (well I love the one Grandma Simpson made and I kinda copied it)! Spent about 3 hours on my first try, next time I hope to finish it quicker! Let me know what you think!

Reese is in Pre-school. She loves it. She has made some really cute friendships within her classmates too. Recently they had their Christmas program which included some songs, a little dance and some stage fright. Reese keeps her finger in her mouth when she is nervous or being shy. Doesn't she look like a little angle with the garland on her head? This was for Away in a Manger song, her favorite. Everything about Mary, Joseph and Baby Jesus she loves. We went to the nativity festival at church and she admired EVERY SINGLE baby Jesus. Imaging how long we were there for! I love her and she is such a blessing!

Mom and Dad Lay had a mini Christmas night for us, we had soo much fun, and the kids enjoyed getting some early presents! Pillowpets of course!

The excitement of decorating your Christmas tree can be sooo special for your child. I love the happiness this season brings!

Jake and Dad drew a target on the window and played with the nerd guns, this kept them busy for a bit. The things Jake does when he gets bored!

Making a gingerhouse was soo much fun, even more fun was sneaking the treats that go on it!

This is our 9ft tree this year, Jake said "why not, we have high ceilings!" OK!

It was so nice that Jake's sister Sheena and Steven drove over from AZ to spend Thanksgiving with us. We are sooo grateful when our family comes to see us, we miss everyone dearly.

This is us. We celebrated our 5 years on November 4th. It has flown by and we love every minute of it. With 2 crazies and keeping our lives sane, time goes fast. But, wouldn't change anything about it, it's perfect the way it is!

Where have I been? Well, not blogging, apparently FB is getting the better of me. Not much has changed we are just living life down in Temecula. It has been nice, our winter is what you see in the bottom photo of R and B. We did however make it up to Big Bear to go tubing. It was a blast! The kids loved it! Reese got very brave and wanted to ride superman style on daddys back down the slopes. It was funny because when we got up there there was no snow, then we pulled into the park and found snow. They have machines to make the snow for tubing, and it was really cold, 40 degrees, so we were just fine with the manmade stuff!

My dad has called me asking if I was going to update my blog, and I thought about it at first. And, I didn't realize that is has been since forever since the last update! Sorry Dad, and others! Here are a few pics of the fam. my sister came for a visit with Ryder and we had soo much fun together. We really didn't want them to leave. Jake is in Rhode Island for school. He dislikes it 100% and can't wait to come home. We miss him soo much. Actually he just found out that he might be staying in class for up to 5 months. Now, my next excitment is waiting for my sweet sis in law and her four kids to come in June. My house will be a {ZOO}! That's ok though, I love them and it will be totally fine.

OK guys, here it is Reese's first drawing of something that looks like something! I asked her what it is and it is our family. I know it looks freakishly odd, but I am SO proud of her! I swear once she starts doing a new hobby, she really picks it up! We are getting really excited just thinking about pre-school, we know she is just going to have a blast!...I love that she gave me only one EYE, and how frazzled Jake looks! And, Brody is sleeping, and how she has long hair only on one side {maybe of the haircut she gave herself?} Its great! I love her tons!

I made this the night before Reese's birthday. It only took me an hour to do, and I was very happy with myself when I finished. I put it on her bear when I was done, so she would see it first thing when she awakes. She saw it and came out of her room, yelling at me that she got a TUTU! I am so glad that she liked something that I made for her!
And, she is absolutely darling in it when she is showing me her twirly dance!

Reese turned 3! She had such a wonderful party with a few of her friends. She wanted a Tinkerbell theme, so I tried my best! I got really into it, I know that sounds sad huh! But, I made these really fun wings for the girls and swords for the boys. They decorated them with all sorts of fun stuff! We had a huge pinata, that all the kids loved. Jake had to carve a stick and make a club to open it! It was that much of a heavy duty pinata, it was hilarious! It was nice to have a little party with her friends. Reese has developed such a sweet personality. She is SO kind to her friends and notices different behaviors. She still loves her blankie, and wants to cuddle with it always! She wants to talk about Jesus at the breakfast table...I should learn from her! Now that she is 3, all she talks about is going to class {pre-school} and tells me that I can't teach her! Jake and I are really lucky parents to be blessed with her life and we love her very much! She gives us soo many fun adventures and says the darnedest things! I can't believe she is already 3, it's going by way too fast!

My sweet friend got Reese this apron for her birthday. Her mother is a crafty person and made it for Reese. It is the cutest thing ever! Reese is in the kitchen with me soo much more now and is always wanting to help, but first "my apron mom"! I love it soo much, I asked her to make me a matching one!!!!

We spent New Year's Eve day at Sea World. It was a great day, the weather was beautiful! We thought of going to the beach like last year, but we wanted to use our free pass to the park. The day was great, the kids had a blast. There is a Seasame Street play park and that is where the kids spent alot of time. We saw the Polar Express in 3D, thank goodness it was only about 10 minutes because we were barely lasting. Reese loved the penguine exhibit; thinking it was "Happy Feet" movie. Jake got to ride the Atlantis, and as you can tell on his face, it was a THRILL! Brody enjoyed his time most in the sand pit, the kid is always playing with something dirty! Jake and I ended our night at 11pm, yes we are party poopers. Mostly me, I was really tired after a long day! Overall, we brought in the new year with new expectations of ourselves and are looking forward to "2010"!

Merry Christmas Everyone! This is what Christmas looks like at our house! We had such an early morning, Brody was up at 6 and reese heard him and once she opened her door, she was screaming and smiling ear to ear! Soooo much fun when Santa comes to our house! This year Santa brought Reese a shopping cart with two babies, and a lawnmower for Brod. And, for all of us a trampoline. This year was especially special. Not that we wouldn't love to be with our family in WA. But, we were by ourselves all day and didn't have to go anywhere. It was nice. We stayed in our jammies all day and played with our new gifts and really enjoyed our little family. Jake and I are really blessed with the family we have, what a wonderful gift from our Heavenly Father. I have been reading alot of Nativity stories and showing them on a felt board about the birth of Jesus. I think Reese has got it down! I want them to know the reason we have Christmas, and not just look forward to all the {presents}! A big thank you too all who have sent us cards this year, we look forward to checking the mail everyday to put another greeting up on the wall. I like to save them on rings so we can look back at the past years. WE hope that everyone enjoyed their Christmas day! Mom, Dad, Mom and Dad Lay, we love you guys soo much and wished we could of seen you this Christmas. We are especially grateful to have you all in our lives. Posted are some pics of our Christmas! OHHHH I forgot!!!! Sadly, Jake has finally gotten the stomache flu, and has been sick all afternoon. I am just glad it is over now. We have all had it within the last week, and it has been NASTY! He is in bed resting, and I have kept the kids away from him so he can have quiet! Thank goodness for all the new toys and trampoline!

P.S. This is funny! We didn't have presents under the tree before the Eve. Reese really wanted some so we wrapped up a box of cake mix and Frosted Mini Wheats cereal, just incase Brody got to them. Her first gift that she opened after playing with Santa's gift was the cereal. We forgot to take them out! Once she opened it she screamed...." I GOT FROSTED MINI WHEATS, WAAAHOOO! I LOVE MINI WHEATS!" and same with the cake! Who knew? we could of saved alot of money!

I can't believe it is almost November!!! Jake and I will be celebrating our 4th Anniversary on Nov. 4th! In only 4 years and already have two kids. WOW! Anyways, Halloween is coming up and we are trying to decide what to dress the kids up as. Reese really wants to be a tiger and for Brody to be a elephant. I know I can't make either of those, so we will see what we come up with. We just came from a little party my friend Taralee put on at the park, great day for it! We decorated our own cupcakes, a blast for the little ones! A few days ago we went to a local museum called "Pennypickles" I think. It was a lot of fun, there were soo many things for the kids to do and look at. The best thing I think was the soda can room, Reese spent alot of time in there. The idea of this room was recycling cans and paper. Here are a few pics of our adventures!...PS Brody is saying CHEESE now, and has the cutest face ever!

Seriously, we are still alive in Temecula. Just a little busy than usual. With fun things of course! Jakes mom came down for two whole weeks, and it was amazing! To just see a family face was nice! She helped out soo much, with the kids, making dinners, and even cleaning my home! I am sooo grateful for her visit! We got to just hang out most of the time, and we even went out and did some fun things. One of the most fun outings was to the local carnival! There was a pumkin patch, and fair rides. Reese fell in love with the bungee jump, and did it two time. Each time was 15 minutes, so it seemed like the whole time! Both of the kids did the swings, and Brody is such a butterball, he just relaxed and enjoyed the ride! CHUNK! He is almost as big as Reese, I jsut cant believe it! Then, I challenged Jake to this blow up rat race thing. It was huge, had tunnels, hills, slides and it was full of air. You know, one of those blow up things? I was really pushing Jake telling him that he was afraid to lose, that is why he didnt want to do it. So, it bugged him, that I could possibly beat him at something and he went and paid $1 each for 4 more tickets to try and beat me. Sure enough, he won! Its funny, we would never think of doing something like this because we have to watch our kids, thats why it was soo nice for Mom Lay to be here! After the race, we were both short of breath, hurting lungs, coughing, and I was sweating. I didnt think we were out of shape, but it was sure worth every hard breath of it!

We also made these adorable egg carton spiders to hang from my mantel. They were soo much fun, Reese helped with painting them, her favorite thing to do right now. And mom lay and I finished them up. It took us over an hour to finish them all! But, my mantel looks great! It was worth the time! We sure do Miss everyone in WA. Unfortunately, we are not going to make it up this year. Our finances are just too tight this time of year. When Feb. 2010 comes you will be seeing us. Jakes sister is getting married, and I am soo excited to see that day! Hopefully someone will have a spot for us to sleep at their house? We will see. Hope all are doing well, we miss and love you much!!!

It was such a wonderful day when Brody came into our lives and we are extremely excited to celebrate his first birthday! He is such a great kid. He is full of personality, smiles, hugs for other babes, has a distinct laugh, and is very gentle. And now he is a BIG baby. Fully walking and running, he just started saying the word BALL, which is his favorite toy besides when he gets sneaky enough to steal Reese's baby that is also his fav. He also says DAADEEH....ALL DAY LONG! We had a few friends over to party with us for the night! If you don't have a FB here are a few pics to keep you posted!

This is MY garden, a place for me to unwind and relax away from everyone else, hopefully! Since we moved, I have been wanting to grow a vegetable garden in this space. Before it was only wood chips and then was becoming a poo bed,,, Daisy no no. Sooo, Jake let me get started on tossing the wood chips and getting loads of new soil and compost! I love it! I just finished sowing all my seeds, took me two whole hours! There are going to be delicious veggies to start eating in about a month! We decided to plant strawberries, I hope they will continue to grow, we bought the plants. Also, carrots, lettuce, broccoli, onions, peppers, chives, garlic chives, zucchini, mint (i love in my water with lemon) and basil. WOW, I know, Lots of stuff! On top of that we have an apple tree, plum tree and a lemon tree too!

You are probably wondering how the rest of the fam is doing? Reese, is the sweetest girl I know! She tells me she loves me, I am pretty, and helps me around the house! I never thought it would happen, then she started sweeping up her playdoh messes, and picking up her toys. She even helps me put the dishes away! Crazy little toddler! Millions of words come out of her mouth, some I can't even understand! Her new thing is to say "NO WAY" and then shake her head like we are weirdos. She is a full time pantie wearing girl now, well except at bedtime, we are still working on that. Habit of drinking milk before bed doesn't help. Reese is super excited for Brodys birthday, and that we will be having "birthday cake".

Brody is a running machine! He has the cutest teeth, and eats everything. He says mama and dada when he needs to. Surprisingly, he is a disciplined little guy. Sleep patterns are great now! I know the first 10 months of his life were difficult for us, but now they are making up for themselves. I think the poor kid just wanted to walk this whole time! He is such a blessing. I have learned soo many things from having two babies. Patience is a virtue. I just can't believe its been a whole year already!!! Soo excited for his first birthday, just next week!

Jake has been working in the office lately, so he is now on a set day shift. Lots is going on with his MOS at the moment, and we will update once things change. He has been great with the kids, and taking care of them so I can do some other things. I think it is hard for him to be with the babies all day, but now he knows how I feel! LOL, no really! We are settled into our house, and really like it here. It feels like home to us, minus our family and friends from WA!

Below you will find pics of the kids playing in the backyard, Brody on his walking way and us on a hike, in the dead wilderness around here. There were still beautiful things but it is just extremely dry! Yes, Jake did insist on carrying both of the kids...he's strong, why not!

Music Time

During our move Jake found his Sax from High school, that he used to play soo well, he said. Now he can't remember a tune, except for Twinkle and Mary had a little lamb. He pulled it out this morning, and played for Reese. Reese wanted a turn, and was blowing slobber all over it! She was having a blast! Its almost her size, and it was heavy for her too. And, yes she is in Big Girl Panties...its a working progress!

We have moved, to a smaller place. Pretty much to stay cooler, and to start saving money to move to WA someday and buy another house. It's quite comfortable, and really feels like a home. Our other house was big, we bought too many unnecessary things to fill up the house. I guess we are also trying to simplify our lives. In our new place its just the perfect size. Only 1200sqft so we are adjusting big time, from 1900sqft. Which means we have lots of stuff to get rid of! Ahh the sweet sound of yard saleing!

Jake is still trying to figure out what is going on with his job. Its still up in the air, and he has been down from work for almost 4 months. But, it has been very nice to have him home more and going to be very hard adjusting to him going back full time! Jake is a wonderful HUSBAND. I am a truly blessed woman to be his.

Reese is a busy body. Talking all the time about everything. Saying the darndest things that we have no idea where they came from. She is repeating things such as "stup*d id%ot". I yelled it to a driver that ran a red light during my turn. Reese's version is "srupid inkidnot" It was soo funny, but I learned my lesson. She is learning different feelings. Being scared is her most recent. Such as the lawn mower and some movies are scaring her. And she tells us all the time when something makes her happy, like chocolate milk, her sweet addiction.

Brody is a little butterball. He eats everything, way more variety than Reese. He could eat all day if I let him. He has his 5th tooth coming in and is causing him lots of pain. Brody loves our new backyard, where the apples fall is his favorite place to search for rocks to throw. Also, he is walking, yes, walking at eleven months. One month earlier than Reese, so we have our hands full now. I thought it would free up some of his fussiness but the teething is getting the worst of him. It is fun to watch his walk room to room. He gives kisses and hugs, usually three of each.
Soo many things, well just the move really, but we have been soo busy. I am trying to keep sain with soo much to do! So, when the weather calms I will blog some more!

But, we had to do it. We had to get out the buzzers and trim that kid up. He did really good, thanks to the help of Jake giving him 3Musketeers bites! I even managed to get a little hawk on him!

It is such a precious thing when a new baby is born...more amazing to hold them afterwards! Becky had labored for 18 hours before Ryder came, a long slow progressing labor! Her water broke at the grocery store on Friday night at 10pm. She went in to the ER and they said she had to stay for delivery! Wow! She was at a 4 dialation for a while then got up to a 7 and once to an 8 she just went fast! Ryder was out within 15 minutes of pushing talk about a strong pusher! He was delivered at 4:21pm and arrived HUGE and Healthy! I forgot to mention that he was due on the 19th, came a week early weighing already a wopping 8lbs. 12oz! He could of been a 9lb baby if he came later. Becky and Josh are happy and feeling great, they can't wait to get Ryder home and in there own place. Here a some pictures that I took at the hospital, Becky allowed me to watch the delivery and it was such a wonderful experience to see. Yea for Motherhood!

A day at the water park

At Jefferson park they added a new water park, it is the most fun on a nice sunny day. This was one of our well days, so we thought it would be a great idea to go and play in the water. So we did! Reese was really not feeling the water play, but the really cute toddler playing on the big toy was catching her eye! lol

Hello All! Well our trip to WA has not been pleasent at all yet. I mean we have been having fun when we do get the chance to get out and visit, but other than that we have been sick since Beckys baby shower. Not sure why we have been cursed with illnesses! The kids have had fevers, puking, diareahha, coughs, snot noses, and I have had a complete lack of sleep! Also 4 trips to the urgent care for croup, airbourne viruses, stomache viruses and sanity pills for me...I wish. Wait...its getting better, Brody is feeling much better today, besides his top teeth coming in. But, we are getting by, day by day and are seeing the brighter side of our days. Plus, I got a free week of tanning so I have something to sneak away to and get a break! YES! Here are some pics for you to see and I will get some more on here soon now that I an getting the time! LOVE YOU ALL...especially you Jake.

This little guy is already spoiled! Wow, I am talking about 300 new things from Becs baby shower last weekend! I am soo glad I was able to surprise my sister with my secret arrival into Washington. It was tough, I had to keep it quiet for 3 whole days! When we got to Josh's parents place, I meet his sister outside and had her take Brody in the house. I told her to act as if Brody was just someone elses baby at Beckys shower. Allissa went in with Brody, and someone asked her whos baby he was, and Bec looked and looked and it registared that "Brody" was here and so was I and Reese. She came running and was soo excited to find me in the garage with Reese and we started crying! I told her there was no way we could afford to fly me to her shower, well we fibbed! Oh one of the best things about her shower was that instead of getting cards, her guests were to bring a storybook, so now she has a wonderful collection of new books to read to Ryder every night!

Brody Is soo precious! He is a total lovie type of baby and says "mama"all day long. He is crawling everywhere, getting into cupboards, my garden, on Reese's toilet and anything else you can think of. Two teeth have popped though and his top ones are working their way out...poor guy! Lately his fun and games are to do a movement like shake his head and we do it back. It is absolutely hilarious to him! I took these pictures today, my sis-in-law Brie inspired me to because she has tons of her son Kason's pictures for his 7 months photo shoot. Well, no reall photo shoot here, but I did get some cute captures!

The kids are sleeping, its late for me and I should be in bed, but I thought I should keep you all updated with a new post! We are doing fine, Jake is still down from his job until he gets a waiver for his migraine meds. Which could take up to 2 more months, and of Jake just sitting around until he can work again. So in his mean time he is playing on a flag-football team and a baseball team. We have been going to the games and its a lot of fun to see him tear up the fields, because he is super awesome at sports! I am going to attempt a yard sale this weekend. It is incredibly hard for me to price Reesies dresses at such a low price, they are soo cute. I am going to put high prices and let them neg. It has been beautiful weather here! We play outside everyday in the backyard. Reese has a sand table that occupies her for 2 hours and now Brody gets into it too! Reese loves making sand cupcakes, its her speciality. I cant believe how huge my kids are getting! Everyday, we try to have fun, even when Reese gets in trouble, (seems to be most of the day) her twos are giving her a tough time! Brody is 7 months and almost two weeks old now. He is crawling to everything, wants to eat anything and is sticking his tongue out and blowing raspberries!!! Too CUTE! And his nose is orange from sweet potatoes. lol He even has a fake cry...it is soo fake too! Its like he is growling with a little whine, its funny. He loves to cuddle, and play with Reese all day long, they have a bond, and it is so incredible to see two kids play with each other the way they do!

Really...it's only March and we are already at the Beach! Awesome! This was Brodys first time being allowed to play in the sand. He is getting bigger and getting into everything! Reese had a good time, she dug a hole and we put B in it and she wanted to fill the hole back up. These two kiddos get along great, there is a wonderful love between them. Jake went surfing, well hung out on his board for 30 minutes and came back in. Decided it wasnt the best day to surf! We played for a few hours, got a little sun, and went home for dinner.

There is a lady at our Church that does photography, so we thought it was time for Reese's two year and Brody's six month photos! Here they are!!! We are soo thrilled with how great they turned out. Both of them did so good! I can't believe how the time has gone by, is seems like yesterday Reese was the size of Brody. TIME FLIES!!! This was done at a nearby park. It was a beautiful day, perfect temp for Brody to be in a diaper. He has soo much fun playing in the leaves and twigs crunching away! Reese had so many poses on the tricycle. Her attitude is beginning to develop into a toddler tude. She is in her owns ways for many things. We love our kids soo much, what a blessing that we have Reese and Brody! And...Daisy too!

Goodbye Feb. Hello March! Today was a rainy day, we are not used to the rain like should be. How strange We are all freaking out because it is wet outside and debating if we should drive in the rain to church...what an obstacle! LOL, it was as if the rain was painful. I am petsitting my neighbors dogs, two are hers, and two are her sisters who is vacaing in Japan. The usual routine, let them out for a bit before bed, 8:15, leave to Ross to dress shop, 9:35 my phone rings. My other neighbor asks about the dogs and says the whole block is chasing them down the street. Why it that I want to have just a little me time, and I have to run back to escaping dogs? Long story short we found 3, and looked for the 4th for an hour, and when I pulled up to the house she was sitting at the door. Darn Uki! Jake and I took the kiddos to the park for their 6m. and 2yr photo shoot! They turned out great!!! I only have a few to show for now. I can't believe how fast they are growing. Reese is 2 for sure. She listens, helps mommy, talks back, learned "Shut your mouth" (thanks Jake) and "Die Sucker" ( I was killing a fly) ohh and the best...that fake cry! She is still a beautiful little girl and we love every waking day with her! Brody...WOW! He is a mover, a steam roller (jakes words). That boy can get to any room by rolling around! And he is quick! He is almost 7 months on the 26th of March. He is holding his own bottle, eating baby foods, loves fruit, giggling, rolling around and is saying "DADA". Sleeping through the night is a whole different story. Not happening! Reese spoiled us with that!

Great day for me! Then I came home and he had a delicious dinner ready! Steak, and Jake makes the best steaks in town! Sea scallops pilof and green beans! It was soo good! And for dessert I made a cake, Hostess style for Jake!

Believe it or not, I am mad at thecutestblogontheblock.com. I cant change my background and it is driving me nuts! I cant upload the code for some reason. Anyways...I am suprised that I really AM still alive. I have not had real sleep in the last week. Brody hates sleeping, that is the only thing I can think of. My son was awake all night, and I feel like a zombie. Mom...please come back so I can nap during the day? lol! Maybe the poor kid is teething, I dont know what is going on, but it is sad for Jake and I. Jake has been sick all week and barely sleeping himself. At least Reese sleeps and naps great! Lucky Girl! This is soo funny! Reese has about 10 baby dolls. There are a few chosen ones that she plays with all the time. ok 5 dolls. these "babies" mostly sleep with her, and are dragged around the house for the day. they go on walks, are fed sippy cups, clothes are changed and she burps them too. And. the best is that Reese smells all their butts and does this face and tells me that her babies have pooped! I am cracking up typing this so if it doesnt make sence, i apologize. It gets better...after smelling the bumbums and confirming that they are the poopy ones and not her, she goes to Jake and smells his butt. "DADDY STINKY POOPY, YUK!" its great! I love that she is talking, I laugh so much during the day! I caught a few baby things for you to see. Usually her dolls sleep on the stairs during the day. And when she wakes up from her nap they all have to come down with her. Like I have to carry enough down the stairs already! She is a great lil mommy! Ill let her keep all her babies, I am sure this will pass in time.

we love having visitors, anybody, please come visit, especially family. we miss you all soo much! Michelle and Ernie were here for a few days. well spent too! We went to the beach all day Friday and Saturday! It was awesome, but tiring with the sand issues. Trying to keep Brody sand free was frusterating to me! But, overall we had a wonderful time! Michelle was my surprise, I had no idea she was coming, I was sooo happy to see her! It was great being able to just hang out and girltalk! Ern found a surf board for $50.00 and Jake has been out on it everyday since they left! j/k! Now for those who come to visit us, there is an extra surf board for rent...Ernie is charging a $5 fee. I am sure we can work something out for a discount! Great times you guys thanks for coming!!! Who's Next???

Reese is soo smart, she is talking all the time, and knows what is going on. She understands what she is being told to do. Reese loves to play outside and with her best friend Aiden, even though at times they fight over everything! She is a wonderful Big Sister to Brody. Her personality is developing tremendiously. She knows how to be funny and can tell when you are sad, if you are hurt she will give you a booboo kiss, if she is mad she will yell. Dancing is her favorite thing to do, especially to rap music which is kinda funny! Yea Reese is two, welcome to toddler years!

What a fun day! Brody has been waking up in such a good mood lately. He is soo smiley it just makes my mornings. He got this animal stack from Grama Lay and he loves it, the kid is already sitting unsupported and doesnt even roll over yet! He only does what he wants to do! He is getting soo much more alert and wants to be a part of everything. He is eating twice a day cereal and loves it! And I think that helps with his sleeping at night, down to waking only around 12:30am. I think he has got to be about 18lbs already, he is such a chunk. He is still a cryer when he is laying down for more then 10 minutes on the floor. I am hoping he will grow out of that soon! Reese loves to entertain him with anything. She will just laugh at him to get him laughing, sooo cute! I love my kids to death! How lucky are we to be blessed with these little precious gifts!

Delicious Cookies!!!

You have got to try this recipe! Bake 350 for 10-11 minutes

1/3c. soft butter

2/3c. shortening

1c. sugar

1c. brown sugar packed

2 eggs

2tea. vanilla

3-1/2c. all-purpose flour

1 tea. salt

1tea. baking soda

2c. semi choc chips

1c. walnuts optional, i didnt use

Cream butter, shortening and sugars until light and fluffy. Add eggs, one at a time beating well. Beat in vanilla.

Combine flour, salt, baking soda; add to creamed mixture. Stir in choco chips and walnuts. Put on cookie sheet by rounded TBS. 350 for 10-11 min or golden brown. These went real fast, hate to admit it but we ate them all in 3 days. Thats a lot of cookies!!!!

It is a beautiful sunny day here in Cali. on New years eve. What a better day to go to the beach and surf! I know, in December, yep thats right! We made it a day trip. First to Jakes work, where we saw 200 helicopters, and Reese was amazed. One of her favorite things right now. Then we went up into the tower where Jake spends most of his training. It was very cool up there, you could see the whole air field. Off to the beach and hour later, it was crowded there. Others were in their bikinis, which hopefully I can wear again, tons of surfers and families. My friend Robyn let me borrow her Canon camera, it takes great photos. I had soo much fun with it, now I really want one. So here are a few pics of what I got!

ok... so I have been out of the loop lately. With Christmas, and all sorts of parenting things to do I have been busy. Christmas was wonderful, besides not going to any families homes, it was very pleasant. It was quiet, fun and just us. We woke up at 7 am and Reese saw her new pink bike from the top of the stairs and was soo excited! Jake got a new pan, which being the cook in the family, it was great for him! I got a new vacuum and ohh boy it is wonderful. I vacuum every day! I know, a little ocd. But mostly we remembered the reason for the season, and are very grateful for the things that we already have in our life. Hope everyone had a beautiful Christmas with their families!

Christmas Eve we usually celebrate over at Jake's parents house with his whole family. It is a HUGE gathering, imagine my family times 9, plus a few more! We are home and are happy to be back but we missed the snow!!! Bummer! We have had rain the last few days, sure beats 360 days of the sun. Christmas is only nights away, Reese can't wait for Santa to come. Every Santa she sees...SANTAS... comes flying out of her mouth. She is soo cute! My mom came for a few days, and we made a million cookies, decorated and all. It was a lot of fun. We did our tree while she was here for her to enjoy with the kids. We are all ready for Christmas in our house, are getting a little anxious for Reese expression on the morning of. We might even do pretend Santa steps in the living room! (Fake Snow) I watched Aiden the other day, and this is what we did for fun, made tape noses. It was great, totally changed how they looked and was hilarious! Hey All! I cant wait, we are leaving this Sunday to WA! I was wondering why it is 95 degrees out today? What is wrong with that, it is almost December! We went to a bday party today at the park, ate pizza and cupcakes, a big no~no for me. Reese was the only girl there, as usual! She loved all of her friends gifts, especially this dinosaur that walks and makes noises. Might have to get her one for Christmas! And, here are a few new ones of Brod man! He is getting big so fast! He is getting stronger in his neck, and legs too! I am reading the Twilight book, it is awesome by the way. And am going to see the movie Thursday night. My friends parents own a theatre and we can see it early! YES! Wish you were here to go with me Aubrey and Sheena!

Less than 2 weeks!

Yeah...we can't wait. You have no idea how excited we are to come to Washington for Thanksgiving, two whole weeks! We miss our family and friends dearly. Plus, we are excited to see the new babies we haven't yet seen! Hopefully, Jake will have his leave approved this week, he is pretty sure he will get it. At church tonight for family home evening, Jake spoke about Veteran's Day. It was really nice to hear him talk about his feelings toward the military. There were people there of all ages! It was a lot of fun. He got asked a ton of questions. One was if it was hard for him being LDS in the Marines. He said not really, it goes three ways. First, they throw their jokes, then they have respect for him, and lastly they always ask him for advice. The other Marines want to know how Jake is always calm and can handle the most stressful moments. It's the spirit that is always by his side to help comfort him he told. Anyways, that was my favorite part of his talk. There were a few young men that are considering joining the military. Also, we went to the 233rd Marine Corps Birthday Ball. That was beautiful. The ceremony, and presentations were well put together! Happy Birthday Marine Corps!

It's a warm Halloween night and all the ghosts and goblins are out! Our street was not that busy, but a few over is where the happenings were! We took the kiddos out around the block. Reese was adorable, she wanted to walk on her own, knock on the doors and she would say "bye~bye" when we left. SOOO CUTE!!! Talk about getting to be a big girl! She was a bumble bee again this year, the costume fit better this time around. Brody, well he was sleeping the whole time, and we didn't want to dress him up just yet. Reese's buddy Aiden came with us for a little bit, then he got tired and went home. Overall, we had a lot of fun, saw some scary costumes (which I hope Reese forgets about), and now have way too many suckers! Halloween is changing, the costumes especially for girls. They are soo short, I wonder what their mothers think about them. I would never let Reese dress like some that I saw. Anyways, that was just a thought that just went through my mind. I hope everyone else had a spooktacular night! Check out Reeses attennas... I made them with foil! lol ...getting crafty!

It's amazing how they change!

Just to give everyone an update on us, we are doing great! Trying to get the most sleep we can, when we can. Brody is a terrible sleeper throughout the day, and getting to be a really great night sleeper now. Naps are the toughest part of our days! Reese is talking a little bit more now. She is always saying, "mama, Dada" and tons of other jumbles. Jake just got recommended for qualification for the tower ground control. He is doing great at his new job! I guess, because he is doing good, it is tradition for guys like him to buy/make lunch for everyone in the tower! So, he is perfecting his curry. And, he is quite the chef when it comes to gourmet meals!

Grama & Grampa Lay flew in to come to Brody's Blessing. It was a good day! Jake gave a beautiful blessing prayer for Brody. After church, we went to Balboa Park in San Diego! Then, came home to BBQ two 32oz. steaks that Jake and his dad ate for dinner, they barely finished one steak! It was a lot of meat! Who eats that much meat anyways! lol

We has so much fun at the Pumpkin Farm. It was a beautiful day, not to hot with some winds going through. There were tons of pumpkins, and harvest decorations. The petting zoo was alot of fun too, Reese enjoyed looking at the horses the most. There were also lots of goats, chickens, a big ol turkey, and a bunny. Reese found her pumpkin, and we got to paint it today. (dont have the photos uploaded yet) At the last minute Brody woke up, so we got a photo of him!

One month update!

One month has gone by already... the time flies! Brody is already watching things with his eyes, and yes he is winking already too! The smiles are cute, not sure if they are meant yet though. Reese is learning how to do chores... we made her wash the car. ...of course with our help! She really likes the bubbles more than anything! She has been a wonderful little helper. She is wanting to always do something, diapers, feeding, sushing, and holding the little baby! She is adorable. I think she will be a lot of help to others in her future! And... then there is her terrific two's coming up, and boy is she working on that. I don't know how many times a day Jake and I are telling her "NO" poor child, that is the only word she knows now. Just kidding. She said "moothie" tonight, it was soo cute! We went to Jamba Juice for a little date.
Jake is getting really good at his job, he might make the record for getting qualified on the tower ground. He has only been on for 10 days, and someone told him that he is doing a great job! That is wonderful, he is catching on quick! I guess the record right now is making qual in 24 days. I am sure that he will do it.
We have read the book " On becoming Baby Wise" So far so good, except for the crying part. But, we are getting through it. Brody is getting better adjusted to a routine, and it makes the day way easier to know what to expect. Jake and I, and probably Reese too, would love to have a good nights rest. We are just waiting for the lil guy to get one too! Hope everyone else is sleeping well!

Only 3 Weeks old!

I cant believe Brody is only three weeks old. It feels like its been longer than that! We are all adjusting to our new lives now as a family of four. It is very busy! I can't imagine what it would be like to have more children! I love my babies soo much, I think that two will keep me busy for a long time! Reese is signed up at Childs Play, an indoor playground for kids up to the age of 5. It is a great place for her to get energy out, except she has a favorite toy in there. It's a rollar coaster that goes is circles, she like it because she can get a ride and watch everyone as she rolls on by. But... no energy wasting! I wish they would get rid of that thing!

WOW! Really! This is hard work having two children, but the blessings are wonderful! Brody is starting the little smiles while he is sleeping or using his binky. It's soo cute and he doesnt even know he is doing it. Things have not been easy, Jake and I are pretty much sleep deprived. Brody gets up 2-3 times from 10pm to 7am. And, sometimes it take a good hour and half to get him back to sleep. He is alot different from Reese, he loves to be held, all day. Getting the dishes put away is almost impossible. Reese does soo well with him! She really enjoys his company, even though he just looks at her, thats all she needs! She is a big time lover of giving him kisses and holding him, but just for about 5 seconds!

This photo is soo cute i thought. Reese got my "I Love You" Angel that my mom gave to me, and she knows what it says on it. She brought it downstairs and put it on Brodys bouncer. Too cute. I love them soo much, they are perfect to me.

Jake is back at work now, and enjoying it for the most part. He is up in the tower on most days, but he also spends alot of time studying for tests. He is on a new work shift, rotating every week from day shift to nights. I am going to really have to work hard to make sure he gets his sleep.

Grandmas Going Home

It's about that time for my mom to go home, she leaves tomorrow. We are going to miss her soo much, all her help and company! Brody sure has grown alot since he came into our world, just look how big he looks! Reese is soo protective of him, and has to always know where he is. She is totally the best big sister ever! It's amazing to watch the love she has for this new little person, that we just "brought home from hospital." The way a new life makes you feel is extremely wonderful. I love my family so much, I couldn't ask for it to be any better. Although, it has been a pretty rough week! Reese has hit her almost terrible two's. Or maybe it's the 3 eye teeth that are coming out, not sure, but she has been a little tazmanian devil. She even has the sound effects! It's hard having two babies, but its just something new that we have to adjust to. We will get the hang of it! Poor Jake...has to deal with my flucuating hormones...when does it stop? He is strong, and is dealing with me very well, bless his heart! He is so wonderful!

Brody had his first photo shoot on Saturday! It was so much fun, Reese really enjoyed it too! There is a lady at church who is getting her photograpy licence and asked if she could photograph him. We thought, "How Great would that be!" It was at no charge, because it was for her schooling. Anyways, they turned out great! He is soo stinkin' cute, we can't get enough of him. Well...during the night we could use some sleep!

Can he be any cuter? He looks just like Reese did, so adorable! I had a great delivery, went in at 2:30am and delivered at 5:10am. He is so wonderful, and already we have so much love for him. I think Reese thinks as if she has a new "doll" she is full of kisses and loves to hold him! So far, things are going good, except for the nursing which is a given for me. But, I will take my time and learn how to do it for Brody. Thanks to all those who have been thinking about us! We are soo happy to add Brody Thomas to our family!

Well... we will see if it happens! Just a little update, I am feeling great! A little tired, but nothing to drag me down. I am due today, Saturday the 23rd, and I am not experiencing even painful contractions of any kind yet. The lil monster just wants to stay in there and keep growing I guess. We are all getting very anxious to meet the kid! We went to Balboa Park yesterday to celebrate my Mom's 49th Birthday. It was a great day! A wonderful 6 hours of walking in the sun...and still no labor pains! But, most of all mom had a good time. Jake bbq'd salmon with one of his made up marinades and it turned out soo delicious. EVERYONE... please pray that we see Brody before my birthday on Monday!!! I have people asking me if I am carrying twins!!! Am I allowed to get that big???

Still hanging in there! Only a few more days to really get labor going! The weather makes it soo much harder to get through our days here, I wish we were in Tacoma! I need some RAIN! Or at least colder weather. I am getting pretty tired of being pregnant, but it is all well worth it! I can't wait to see our handsome son, and Reese's lil bro!

I am ready for Brody to come! But, I still have to wait it out until the 15th...which will make it all better with Jake here. Aunt Aubrey went home on Monday and I did an exchange at the airport and got my mom. Very sad to have Aubreys company gone, I think Reese is going to miss her much!! It is nice to have mom here, I told her that I need to sit all day just to keep Brody in until Jake gets here! She is totally fine with that, she adores Reese so much, and doesnt mind all the attention giving to keep Reese busy! I went to the doc and nothing is happening yet, good news. I just feel like I am not going to strech anymore in my tummy, and with all Brody's kicking it is going to be a lot to handle!

How much longer do I have to hang in here for...Brody is wondering...until Daddy gets home! August 15th, we are counting the days. I am at 35 1/2 weeks now and I feel like it should be anyday. There is no room for him to even move in there. You can see his feet kick out on my right side, getting painful, but enjoyable! I have Aubrey to help me get through my days. Believe me... I need her here. Reese is going through her toddler days and I am on breakdown mode realizing that there is going to be two of them. I will be okay, don't worry! I am truely blessed to be having another child. There are so many things I love about being a Mother, especially when my baby gives me random hugs and kisses for just being me. I love it! Brody has hiccups right now, & like I said there is no room, so I am literally bouncing with every hiccup. I think I am ready for bed, but I still have to go to the store for milk in the morning...

Aubrey flew in on Wednesday to the San Diego Airport! Reese was excited to see her Aunt, I think she is getting tired of seeing me all day long. So far, we are having a good time! We went to the pool the other night to cool off after a long hot day, of course, we are in Californina. Today we went to JoAnn Fabrics to buy wooden letters to create wall hangings for Reese and Brodys name. We are excited to get started on those. I will post a photo of the finished project! Aubs is such a great help, even though I try not to ask much of her so she can enjoy her time here. Reese loves to play with her, they color, play with toys and Reese's babies. Reese has started her hitting and throwing stage, not fun. Even when she does the cutest facial expression while doing them. We are trying to kick it in the butt before it gets too bad. I bought a new sprayer for the hose, which is completely satisfying, I love having new little things! Reese played outside with it today and got us all a little wet! But, no worries, it felt great with the heat!

Jake called today and to let me know the deal on when and how long he can take his leave for in August. By my surprise, and his too...his major man said that he is doing so well, and that there was no point in him leaving for 10 days and then to come back for like 8 days. So... they are going to push him forward and graduate him on August 14th or 15th! WOW, what a blessing! That is a month earlier than planned. That is soo wonderful! Anyways, wanted to share the great news. I am extremely excited, because that means I can try to have the baby on my own instead of getting induced! YEA!

Jakes Time Home!

Jake flew in on Wed. night at 10:30, a very long day for all of us! I was soo excited to see my husband who I have been missing like crazy. Reese was just about back to sleep when I saw Jake come down the stairs! I told Reese, "Look, Do you see Daddy?" She saw him, and looked, looked again, and looked away. It was soo sad for both Jake and I. I thought she would of ran up to him with a big hug, but being 18 months old, her memory didnt kick in asap. It was great to have Jake home. Once we got home Reese was ready to play and hang out with her Daddy. She didnt get into bed until 12:30, real late!

On Thursday, we just hung out for most of the day. Went to Babies R Us to do a little shopping for the lil guy. And, we hung out at the park for a little bit. Reese had soo much fun playing with Jake. It was great because I dont like to get on and off the playtoy to keep up with Reese. Its too much for me. On July 4th, we BBQ'd steaks! YUM, Jake makes the best marinades for his meats! I love his cooking, one thing I totally miss! It's funny that I dont realize sometimes just how much he does for me, until he is gone. With him back, I was so grateful for all that he did around the house! That night we went to the park, and played for two hours. Trying to stay till 9 to watch the fireworks. We made it, we took the blanket out to the field and hung out with all the junebugs. Flying buzzing beatles that always found the way to your head! Eww. Yuk. We all enjoyed the fireworks, and went home a few minutes early to get Reese into bed. The beach was calling us on Saturday for Jake to get some surfing in. It is always nicer at the beach, about 20 degrees cooler. Thats what we love! Then we hung out as a family for the rest of the day!

It really sucked taking Jake to the airport today. Something I didnt want to do. But, only a few more months and he'll be done. He will be back next month for the delivery of Brody. Which, we are very excited for. His room is ready and waiting! Reese loves to get his clothes out and play with them. I think that she will be a wonderful big sister! She has been helping me around the house alot, she loves to sweep, throw things in the garbage and wipe up the table. Excellent skills for those chore days to come! lol j/k Here are a few pics of our time with Jake! We already miss him so much!!!!

I went in today to get a 3D ultrasound of Brody to surprise Jake. It is sad that he is not around to feel the movements and see me get huge! Well... the getting huge thing is ok for him not to see! The session was only 15 minutes and I got 53 photos and a video. I sent alot to Jake, he really liked them. It was very neat to see him, Jake says he is going to look like me. Who Knows! He already has Reese's cheeks thats for sure!

Jake's at School!

We are happy to announce that Jake finally is able to go to school to start his new job in the Marines in the Fall. The time came a little sooner than we expected, but it works out best this way! We are going to scedule induction for Brody, and now Jake found out that they might give him a 10 day leave, which will be wonderful! He also just found out that graduation date will be Sept. 11th. But, with him coming home that might change back closer to the 23rd. We are not totally sure what is going to happen yet.

It was a hard Monday morning when we took Jake to the airport! I couldn't even think about missing him or I would tear up! Overall, we all did ok. Reese was full of kisses for her Daddy. Reese and I were lucky to go past security with Jake, only because we are family of leaving military. It was really nice to be able to sit and walk around with Jake before he walked to the plane. Reese did pretty good until he boarded the plane, thats when I had to leave right away. I didnt want to see her cry, then I would cry and it would be a mess!

Jake said he is in a pretty nice place, sounds like a one bedroom apt size. The weather is hot and muggy, he sweats right when he walks out the door. (Thats how I feel here!) He is in a class with 15 others, and it is about 8 hours a day. Jake said he is already getting homework, he is so dedicated and motivated to get school done on time that homeworks not a problem. His first night of arriving he had no food, his only option was the vending machines...So he got a cheeseburger! A cheeseburger out of a vending machine? Poor Guy! I am sure I will keep you up to date on all of Jakes news too! As for now, I am soo tired I need to get some sleep. I have been overwhelming myself with mommy meetups to stay busy. Hope everyone is doing well! Love you all!

Another Update

It not only rained today, but it poured, thundered, lighting, and hailed! I loved it, Reese, Daisy and I sat at the window and watched it for almost 30min. It was great! You wouldnt think that rain would be soo missed but we miss it alot. With the past week of temps at 102 degree, the rain was a blessing! Jake was surfing on his lunch break in the rain, not soo much fun for him, but just to surf is great!

Speaking of Jake, he is leaving on the 26th of May to Pensacola for 16 weeks of school. He will graduate on Sept. 23rd. I am soo sad, but this works best for us because he will be back shortly after Brody is born and he won't miss any Holidays. My doc said that if my body is ready then I can get induced on the 16th of August. That way we can have it planned for Jake to be here, he doesnt want to miss the birth of his first son for anything. I am sure a little bit of drugs will be fine for me! My mom will come to help me for the month of August, lifesaver she is! I will need it, I am already needing a nap everyday and sometimes by the time I do fall asleep Reese is ready to get up! It never works out!

I will be coming home on June 4th! I am soo excited to just see our family, Reese will have soo much fun too!

A Special Day!!

It's Mother's Day today, and I woke up feeling like a wonderful person. Not only am I a great wife to my husband, a pretty good daughter, and a always there big sister, I am a Mother to the most beautiful gift from God. Reese has made me look at life differently in soo many ways. I have to be a good example, show how to love, to have fun, show emotions, teach right from wrong... it is my responsibility to make sure she knows how to be a wonderful person as she grows through her life. I love, love, love her to pieces!

I woke up and Jake had breakfast going, fruit filled crepes, yum! Reese brought me a handmade card that her and Jake worked on! It had a picture of Reese and her babies on the front and her hand print with scribbles on the inside. Its funny how something so simple can make you tear up! I love my husband soo much and it is him who helps me along the way to stay strong and happy. I can't wait to see Brody, I love how Reese makes me feel and look forward to the extra happiness! These babies are soo precious and they look to us, their Mothers, and Fathers too for all the love they need! Needless to say, I had the best Mothers Day so far, last year was just as great too! Reese and I planted flower seeds in a box today, it was one of my gifts! So we will water and watch them grow over the summer! And, too all the beautiful women we know, Happy Mother's Day to you too!

My mom and sister flew in on Friday! This was soo nice to see some of our family. Reese was the most excited of all, she refused to go to bed at bedtime, all 3 nights! It was great to have there company over the weekend. We went to the pool a few minutes down the street, went to the beach on base and in Oceanside. Jake bought a new surfboard on Saturday, and he claims that it is "Really Fast", and it will take some getting used to. But, he and Becky had a great time getting out there to catch some awesome waves! On Sunday, we went to just relax and build sandcastles. Reese is getting used to the sand, and she loves to run at the water. That is very terrifying for me, of course!

Here is Jake catching a wave on his new board. He is soo stoked to finally have a board of his own. I know he can't wait till his brothers get here to show them up!! haha just kidding guys! The weather here is just beautiful, at times it is too hot for us! Being pregnant, it gets very uncomfortable. Next weekend, we will have another set of company! We are excited for them to come!

I went to the OB doc today and had a head to toe ultrasound today! It was soo wonderful, Brody was very active and that made the video so much more fascinating. The nurse said that he is about 12 inches long and over a pound in weight. I will get better specifics when the doctor reviews my record. It is truely amazing to see something that is soo real growing inside of you. It brings me back to when Reese was in the womb, I don't want them to come out! Just the feeling of the movements is wonderful! In the pictures are his feet and his profile, I didn't want to post the gender pic or the 4D one because Jake said Brody looks like a mummy! Everything looks great in there, still expecting on August 23rd. Can't wait! Reese thinks that she is getting to him through my belly button, she is soo funny!

SEA WORLD!!!

We went to Sea World over the weekend! It was great weather, not sunny at all with a little breeze. It made it nice so we didnt have to worry about getting burned or too hot. It was a lot of fun. Reese enjoyed it all, especially the Shamu show. When the instructors were riding on Shamu, she would put her arms up and reach for him as if she wanted to go for a ride! It was so cute. We saw all sorts of fish, the penguins were my favorite! Jake played his strength with the mallot game, and won Reese a cute pink whale. I, on the other hand, just my luck threw one ring on a bottle and won this way too huge dog. Jake had to carry it around for the rest of the day! But, Reese loves it! Daisy does too! Jake has had 2 scares about going to Iraq in the last week, thank God, he is not experienced enough to go. He is on a softball team at work and likes it, he does'n tdo much in the office so it gives him some fun active play! As you can see in the pic I am already huge. Not sure what is growing inside of me, but its big! lol We are all doing good and are happy where we are. Reese got a big girl bed and is loving it. Not sleeping in it yet, just getting used to it. She is soo cute, totally all girl!

I thought this was adorable! Reese has her own mini-surfer swimsuit! I saw it and had to have it! We love getting to the pool when we can to work on our tans. Most of you might not know, Jake and I are pasties behind our clothing! So, a little sun is great! Reese likes her new suit! It is nice, because of the UV protection it has! Next, we need to get her a tube to sit in while we are at the pool!

We had a really great time at the Beach over the weekend! It was nice to get out of the house, away from all the unpacking! Yes, we are still not fully unpacked! Being military we were able to go to the base beach which is private to the public. There was hardly anyone there! RELAXING!! Reese had a blast. At first, she wasn't sure what the sand was, then got used to it. She saw the noisy seagulls and started to run towards them. There were about 50 of them and they all went flying from her over me!!! "Please no seagull poop!"

So far, nothing new has happened. Jake is out on the range this week learning how to shoot a rifle. He already knows how, its just getting the practice in if he needs it. No worries, he is not leaving anywhere! I have a meeting with a meetup group for mommies next week, which I am very excited about. We will meet at a local lake and walk around it. Its about time, I am dying to make some friends here! Jake has been getting off work around 3pm, makes enough time for us to get a family walk in with Daisy. The weather is nice until about 5:30pm it starts to get chilly.

Reese and I made our first batch of cookies at our new house tonight. Oatmeal, chocolate and butterscotch chip with raisains. They were delicious, I have eaten 6 while typing this blog. It's got to be the pregnancy thing. I told Jake am starting to eat everthing in my sight, too bad I sold my elliptical!

Reese has really became best friends with Daisy. She knows how to through the ball for her, and now it is a new activity for her. I am not sure if she is trying to beat me up or what, but she will push me with all her strength when I am in the kitchen, then she laughs at me! I don't know what the 15 months old deal is?!? She has her personality thats for sure. Reese has given the most kisses ever these last few days, it is so precious. I love being her Mother, watching her learn everything is amazing.We truly are blessed to have the family we do.

All Alone In California...

Well...we have finally adjusted to our new home in Temecula, CA. It is absolutely beautiful here, the sun, the grass, our new ward and our house. Jake is pretty bored with his job, he is getting anxious to get sent to Florida to start the 16 week school he needs to be an Air Traffic Controller. I have to admit, I am really bored when he is at work. Reese and I play all day, but we need friends to hang out with too! Soon, it will come in time. It has only been a full week! Reese loves it here! She can run right out the back door and not worry about falling off the deck! The yard is fully fenced so she and Daisy go in and out all day, very nice. There is a pool one block away, which we will enjoy probably on a daily basis soon. And the beach is where we will be at on the weekends, so Jake can take up his surfing skills! As far as my pregnancy, we are getting huge! I feel like a blimp and cant wait to pop! I will go into the doc. in two weeks to confirm the sex of our little one! Can't wait to get the final results!!!

We really miss our family and friends back at home. It is hard to accept that they are over 1,000 miles away. But, still, they are only a phone call away which is comforting! I will try to update this thing often. There is always something new, like now Reese is saying "tang ohh", you know baby version of Thank You. It is soo cute, we love her to pieces!
